Curtis Jackson III, popularly known as 50 Cent, has settled the legal matters between his Branson Cognac brand and E Remy Martin & Co.’s Remy Cointreau. The Cognac company filed a lawsuit against 50 Cent’s Branson Cognac brand, Sire Spirits, accusing them of intentionally replicating their Centaure de Diamant bottle design. They claimed that the similarities could cause confusion among consumers and sought legal action to protect their brand’s reputation.

TV mogul and businessman 50 Cent recently settled the legal matters between his Branson Cognac brand and E Remy Martin & Co.’s Remy Cointreau, one of the oldest cognac producers and part of the “Big Four” houses.

While the settlement details remain sealed, both parties expressed their satisfaction with the resolution, highlighting their shared vision for the future of the cognac industry. The statements expressed mutual appreciation and respect for each other’s presence in the cognac market. 

It is worth noting that 50 Cent’s involvement in the spirits industry extends beyond the Branson Cognac brand. His Le Chemin du Roi Brut champagne won the “Grand Champion” title at Houston’s 20th Annual Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition. Furthermore, his non-profit organization, G-Unity, has partnered with the Minnesota Timberwolves for community-focused basketball clinics during the upcoming NBA season.

In a separate matter, rapper Young Buck‘s music catalog, owed to 50 Cent, has been put up for sale as part of a bankruptcy proceeding. Failure to provide G-Unit with the owed records resulted in legal consequences for Young Buck.

In a similar situation, Diddy recently filed a lawsuit against his business partners at Diageo, a British-based alcohol-distributing company. The rap mogul turned spirits brand entrepreneur alleges that Diageo turned its back on him and his tequila brand, DeLeon.
