Before his tragic passing in 2020, King Von was well on his way to becoming one of Chicago’s brightest rap stars. While it is a bittersweet feeling, Von was able to leave a surfeit of music prior to his death, and some of those tracks will land on his posthumous project What It Means To Be King (due March 4).

Von’s estate has now shared the first single/video from the forthcoming project, the 21 Savage-guested “Don’t Play That.” The matching visual, directed and animated by Cartuna, follows the pair as hijinks — ranging from one-night escapades to Hellcat joyrides to high speed police chases — ensue.
