Rap mogul Ludacris is proving it’s never too late to fulfill your life goals. He recently received an honorary Bachelor of Science in Music Management degree from Georgia State University.

Ludacris was introduced with an honorary degree, and he was celebrated amongst 800 master’s degree graduates on Wednesday to kick off the school’s Commencement Week.
The “Fast & Furious” star attended GSU for a few years before dropping out for a “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity. Luda left the Music Management program at GSU in the mid-90s to sign a record deal with Def Jam Records, going on to release several multi-platinum albums and becoming a sought-after Hollywood star.
The Grammy award-winning rapper went on to praise the campus for not only having its first African-American President in almost a century, but for also graduating more African-Americans than any other university in America.
Earlier this year, actor and rapper Ludacris discussed the influences and inspirations behind his acclaimed Netflix animated series, “Karma’s World.” The series represents and explores the joys and challenges of Black girlhood. With the recent challenges North West and Cardi B’s daughter, Kulture, have faced on social media, the show may provide important lessons for how Black girls can safely navigate the space.
