Iconic Atlanta rap duo Outkast shared a photoshoot on their Twitter page to celebrate coming into 2023.

The ATLiens duo, Andre 3000 and Big Boi are sitting on a shoe shining stand with women holding lights beside both rappers. Fans in the comment section showed excitement and wondered whether the photos were new.

One fan jokingly said, “don’t play with him,” about any report on if there will be new music from Outkast.

The “Whole World” rappers have not released an album since 2006’s Idlewild, and part of the hiatus is due to Andre 3000 unwillingness to make music due to anxiety and lack of confidence, according to a 2019 Rolling Stone report.

However, Andre 3000 was featured on Kanye West’s 2021 album Donda for the song “Life Of The Party,” which resulted in Kanye getting sued over the track’s sample.

Additionally, Outkast fans had a debate on Twitter last August about whether or not Outkast was the greatest rap group of all time. Other groups in the discussion included The LOX, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang Clan, and others.

Last September, Outkast fans debated on Twitter on who was a better lyricist between Andre 3000 and Big Boi. Many fans said Big Boi deserved the same recognition as Andre 3000, while others felt Big Boi was the “weak link” in the duo.
