Nas claimed he was the first rapper to make the fade famous, which is also known as “half moon caesar,” in a new song, “The Tide”  with producer Hit-Boy.

“I made the fade famous, the chain famous,” the rapper Nas said in the track.

The rap mogul has made an impact on hip-hop culture since his 1994 debut album Illmatic, LP fans often call a “classic.” Before “The Tide” dropped, Nas released an unexpected collaboration with 21 Savage, One Mic, One Gun.

The Atlanta native later called Nas irrelevant.

Nas’ last release King’s Disease 3 was the third installment of the King’s Disease series with Hit-Boy.

Another rapper could also make a claim about having a major influence on hip-hop culture.
Long before dances were fun, challenges and songs went viral, one rapper from Illinois, Soulja Boy, told them. He put artists onto the YouTube hustle and changed how artists created and promoted music.
