Lil Baby has partnered with Foot Locker for his second annual Back-to-School Drive. The event, held in his hometown of Atlanta, aimed to benefit residents of all ages by providing them with essential school supplies, sneakers, haircuts, and even carnival games.

Lil Baby, whose real name is Dominique Jones, hosted the Back-to-School Drive at the Westland Mall in Atlanta. The event saw the rapper giving away $300,000 worth of sneakers purchased from Foot Locker to over 1,500 children in the neighborhood. The store was excited as the “Yes, Indeed” rapper took pictures with employees and greeted his fans.
Not stopping at sneakers, Lil Baby also treated children to haircuts at The Barber Shop II. In addition, the rapper joined forces with Goodr, an Atlanta-based company fighting food waste and hunger, to provide meals from American delis to locals attending the event.
Goodr CEO Jasmine Crowe expressed gratitude for Lil Baby’s ongoing efforts to support the community:
“We are grateful to Lil Baby for his continued resolution in giving back to his community,” Goodr CEO Jasmine Crowe told Fox 25 last year at the rappers annual back-to-school drive. She continued, “It is an honor to continually team up with such a household name to relieve some of the ongoing financial burden people are facing.”
The Back-to-School Drive organized by Lil Baby is just one example of his continued involvement and support for his community.
Earlier this year, the rapper opened a restaurant called The Seafood Menu in Atlanta’s local neighborhood, providing job opportunities and delicious seafood for locals to enjoy.
While Lil Baby’s efforts in Atlanta are impressive, he is not the only rapper making a difference in their community. Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty, despite being incarcerated at the United States Penitentiary in Pollock, Louisiana, partnered with K Carbon to host a Back-to-School Giveaway in Memphis.
