Despite whatever is going on in both her private life and her fanbase, Doja Cat is still keeping with her vow that her Planet Her follow-up would focus more on her rapping skills than her pop sensibilities. Following the boom-bap stylings of “Attention,” she returns with her second focus track “Paint The Town Red.”

Directed by Nina McNeely and Doja, the matching video is based around three paintings that Doja herself crafted (they are currently displayed on her Instagram at the time of this piece), with each scene in the visual recreating the paintings. And similar to its predecessor, the single has Amala speaking on everything Doja Cat, in particular the various criticisms she’s received over time.
