Raven-Symoné made a shocking revelation during a recent episode of The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda. The 37-year-old actress confessed that she had undergone multiple plastic surgeries before the age of 18.

The former child star candidly shared, “I had two breast reductions and lipo before I turned 18. I’ve never said it. I’ve never shared it.” In an unexpected twist, Raven disclosed that all of these procedures were suggested by her father, Christopher B. Pearman.
She explained that he had pushed for her to get her breasts reduced, and she also questioned whether getting liposuction would put an end to the fat-shaming she faced. The That’s So Raven star stated:
“I was like, ‘If I get lipo, will people stop calling me fat?’”
Unfortunately, Raven’s surgical journey wasn’t without complications. She revealed that after her first surgery, she experienced disassociation and even had a seizure upon waking up. Recounting the terrifying experience, she said:
“I remember waking up and seeing everything… and then I had this dry mouth and couldn’t breathe, and they were like, ‘Oh yeah, you had a seizure.’”
The impact of these surgeries didn’t end with the physical side effects. Raven disclosed that she still carries visible scar tissue from these procedures and that the surgeries caused her to gain weight. She ultimately underwent a second breast reduction due to the weight gain.
Expressing her frustration, she said, “Even though I got the breast reduction, nobody knew at that age and I still got reamed through social media because I wasn’t as skinny as everybody else and they still called me fat.” She added, “So it’s like, you get that done and it’s still not what everybody wanted to see.”
Beyond breast reductions and liposuction, Raven also opened up about her past struggles with her eyebrows. During a critical point in her career, her father suggested she get her eyebrows removed as they weren’t to his liking.
She recounted Pearman saying, “ ‘Time to get your eyebrows taken off, they look too weird.’ And so I got them shaved off and then I started drawing them in.” Following his advice, she had her eyebrows shaved off and had to draw them in. Reflecting on this experience, she advised others:
“If you want something changed in your body, live with it for a little bit longer to see if it changes. And get therapy before that happens.”
