On Tuesday, SZA teased the upcoming release of Lana, the deluxe version of 2022’s SOS, with a snippet of a new song being sung by… Ben Stiller.

“I keep pretendin’ everyone’s as good as me / S**t’s so weird I cannot speak / Balled so hard, I think I peaked / All my exes still love me,” the actor lip syncs in a clip that features the unreleased track, which is titled “Drive.” “Call me up, he wanna freak / All my opps lookin’ distressed / How you copy then compete?”

If you were wondering why the comedian was likely tapped to help SZA promote Lana, well, she essentially explained why on social media. When she shared the clip on her Instagram account, she captioned it, “SEVERANCE SEASON TWO OUT JANUARY 17th.”

Severance, an Apple TV+ series that stars Adam Scott, John Turturro and Patricia Arquette, is directed and executive produced by Stiller.

Back in May, SZA revealed that she’s a fan of the show in a post on X, writing, “Was tryna be polite but I really need a new season of severance right the f**k now.”

In response to the post, Stiller wrote back, “Ok ok got it.”

So far, the only track SZA has released from Lana is “Saturn,” which she dropped back in February. The album will drop on December 20.

After Lana drops, the R&B singer will be prepping for a tour with former Top Dawg Entertainment labelmate Kendrick Lamar. The pair will embark on the Grand National Tour next year, which begins in April and ends in June.
