Kendrick Lamar‘s Grand National Tour is already breaking records, with its first tour stop grossing over $9 million.
On April 19, K-Dot and SZA kicked off their 39-stop stadium tour in Minneapolis, Minn., performing for a sold-out crowd at U.S. Bank Stadium. According to Touring Data, the first show grossed over $9,124,989, making the Compton, Calif. MC the first rapper to gross that much in a single concert. The amount broke a previous record established by Eminem in 2019. In addition, the 47,354 tickets sold mark the most-attended concert of all time at U.S. Bank Stadium.
K-Dot is no stranger to breaking live performance records. In 2023, his The Big Steppers Tour became the highest-grossing rap tour of all time. It was eclipsed the following year by Drake’s It’s All a Blur Tour.
After performing for a record-breaking viewership at the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show back in February, Kendrick Lamar and his former labelmate SZA kicked off the massive Grand National Tour last week. The first show made headlines after Kendrick egged on his beef with Drake by showing a mock lawsuit deposition during a break in the action.
The tour continues with a show tonight (April 29) in Atlanta and will stop in cities like Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Paris, London, Rome and more before closing out in Stockholm, Sweden on Aug. 9.
