TGIF. As the work week concludes, we are rewarded with some brand new hip-hop projects. This week, two Los Angeles artists bridge the gap on a new project, a frequent collaborating duo from Memphis joins forces again, a rapper and producer from the East Coast put out a sequel and more.

Lefty Gunplay and JasonMartin Put Out Can’t Get Right Album

Lefty Gunplay‘s appearance on Kendrick Lamar’s hit song “TV Off” has given the newcomer fresh momentum. He joins forces with veteran Compton, Calif. rapper JasonMartin, formerly known as Problem, on the new project, Can’t Get Right. The offering consists of 15 songs and features a left-coast leaning guestlist including The Game, Ty Dolla $ign, RJMrLA, Wallie The Sensei and more. Originally set to drop on May 2, the LP was pushed back by a week. “I APOLOGIZE FOR THE DELAY,” Lefty recently noted on Instagram. “I POURED MY HEART AND SOUL INTO THIS ALBUM.”

Starlito and Don Trip Drop Step Brothers 4 Life Album

Starlito and Don Trip have more chemistry than science class. The Memphis rappers have collaborated countless times over the years. This time, they release the fourth installment of the Step Brothers series, Step Brothers 4 Life. The latest volume includes 16 songs of Southern-fried raps. JudahThaLion and Robyn Raynell make appearances.

MIKE and Tony Seltzer Release Pinball II Album

Let the game begin, again. MIKE and Tony Seltzer spin the block with Pinball II, the sequel to the 2024 joint album. Including guest appearances from Earl Sweatshirt and more, the latest release has a total of 17 songs. The new project comes as MIKE is in the midst of the North American leg of his Artist of the Century Tour. Pinball II comes on the heels of Showbiz!, which dropped in January.
