A violent brawl between Chileans and Venezuelans left one man dead and two injured in Iquique, Chile.

The fight left one Venezuelan dead and three Chileans arrested.

The incident occurred when two men and a woman—of Venezuelan nationality—got out of a vehicle and confronted a man on the street, sparking a large-scale brawl in which several people were involved, the Public Prosecutor’s Office reported.

“Thanks to the images, it was possible to determine the presence of three men—of Chilean nationality—who actively participated in the attack and caused the death of one of the Venezuelans involved, using a knife,” explained Prosecutor Héctor López.

The Prosecutor’s Office has instructed the OS9 and Labocar sections of the Carabineros (National Police) to conduct the relevant investigations in order to fully clarify the details of this unfortunate event.
