Kaia J is definitely one of those artists you stumble across and immediately think, okay… she’s going somewhere. Her EP TLK 2 ME feels like a late-night conversation you weren’t supposed to overhear—raw, emotional, and super relatable. It’s the kind of project that doesn’t try too hard, which honestly makes it hit even harder.
From start to finish, TLK 2 ME lives in that sweet spot between R&B and pop, blending vulnerability with confidence. Kaia J knows how to let a song breathe. She’s not rushing moments or overloading tracks with unnecessary production. Instead, she leans into mood, melody, and honest storytelling. If you’re into artists like Doja Cat’s smoother R&B cuts, Jhené Aiko’s introspection, or even early SZA vibes, this EP will feel right at home.
The real standout here is “crash out 4 u” This track feels like the emotional core of the project. It captures that all-or-nothing feeling of being deep in love—the kind where logic goes out the window and feelings take over. The production is clean and vibey, but it’s Kaia J’s delivery that sells it. She sounds vulnerable without being weak, emotional without being messy, and that balance is hard to pull off.
What makes TLK 2 ME work is how personal it feels without being overly dramatic. Kaia J sounds like she’s talking toyou, not performing at you. This EP feels like a stepping stone toward something much bigger, and if this is just the beginning, Kaia J is absolutely one to keep on your radar.
