DaBaby has announced his next album, Be More Grateful, set to arrive Jan. 16, marking a more reflective chapter in his career. The rollout begins with the release of a new single and music video, “Don’t Insult Me,” which features his daughter, Twin, and signals a shift toward more personal storytelling.
Directed by Nick Mays, the video opens with DaBaby navigating aggressive paparazzi attention while walking with Twin, immediately establishing themes of protection and perspective. As the visuals unfold, the focus turns inward, with DaBaby addressing identity, resilience and pride, grounding the record in family and real-life experiences rather than spectacle.
“You gon’ watch how you talk to my daddy,” sings Twin.
“Don’t Insult Me” builds on recent releases that point toward a more intentional body of work. Be More Grateful will also include tracks such as “Letter to My YN,” “Paper Low,” and “Out Ya Business,” each reinforcing messages centered on accountability, focus and staying grounded. Those themes have been echoed through stark visuals and straightforward messaging across his recent output.
Outside of music, DaBaby has continued to expand his community impact. In honor of his late brother, Glenn Johnson, he launched DaBaby Cares in 2024, an initiative focused on mental health awareness and youth outreach. As one of hip-hop’s most commercially successful artists, DaBaby now appears to be pairing that success with a more introspective approach as he prepares for the release of Be More Grateful.
