Ye‘s anti-Semitic energy is trickling into a Los Angeles community after a local warehouse he uses was vandalized with swastika graffiti. The location is under scrutiny for the hate symbol and noise complaints.

Ye’s L.A. Warehouse Alarms Local Residents

For a rapper who seems to live out of hotels these days, Ye needs a place to set up shop for his business endeavors and he’s done that with a white building on the corner of Beverly Boulevard and Kingsley Drive in East Hollywood. The work he’s doing at the nondescript location isn’t sitting well with the local community in L.A.’s Larchmont neighborhood though. On Wednesday (April 23), KTLA 5 News spoke to neighbors about the loud music and hate symbol graffiti coming from the warehouse.

Last month, Ye held a disturbing casting call at the space, which he promoted on his X account, in search of men and no fat people for what he called a “hooligan choir.” The volunteers would need to be comfortable wearing swastikas and have “a complexion of Sean Combs or darker.” His words exactly. The rehearsals for the choir may have been what residents heard coming from the warehouse. One neighbor maintained that he heard men chanting and saw them dressed in black.

There have been seven noise complaints since the beginning of the year. Neighbors claim Ye is holding parties and raves at the spot, which could be why there’s all this loud music, and multiple times per week at that.

“I have no idea what it is,” neighbor Myra Mendoza said. “It’s kinda a mystery to me, but I have heard loud music coming from it.”

The place is across the street from an elementary school and adjacent to homes and businesses in the area. Police were called after a swastika was spraypainted on the walls of the warehouse. Conor Tierney, a local, was concerned for how the hate symbol could impact the children at the school. “It’s just across the street from a school and I don’t think kids should necessarily deal with that imagery especially if they don’t understand what those things mean,” he shared.

This warehouse may be the same spot Cam’ron visited Ye at around 2021. Last year, the Harlem rhymer told a hilarious story of going to what he described as a cave filled with fire to see Ye, who was accompanied by singer Marilyn Manson. Cam said the location was a 10,000 to 15,000 square-foot warehouse where he ended up being served dinner the dark.
