In the commercial titled “Iconic Sound,” A$AP Rocky showcases his versatility, not only as a musician but also as a visual storyteller. The ad captures the essence of his latest single, “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n),” produced by superproducer and Louis Vuttion Creative Director, Pharrell Williams.
The video features A$AP at home working in his studio when Rihanna is heard in the background telling him he needs to run to the store to get diapers for their baby, RZA. Rocky jumps up, puts on his Beats headphones, and runs to the local bodega, parkour-style.
Eager to share his accomplishment with fans, the rapper took to Instagram to announce, “MY COMMERCIAL DIRECTORIAL DEBUT FOR BEATS STUDIO PRO @BEATSBYDRE.”
A$AP Rocky isn’t the only rapper who has found synergy with Beats By Dre. Fellow New York rapper Cardi B secured an endorsement deal with Beats in May 2023. The collaboration sees Cardi B becoming the face of the popular audio brand’s latest offering, the Beats Studio Buds+.
