Cam’ron is giving his thoughts on the Shannon Sharpe lawsuit situation while also giving the sports commentator sage advice about how to know when he’s being set up.
On Wednesday (April 23), Killa debuted the latest episode of his It Is What It Is podcast, where he weighs in on Shannon Sharpe recenlty being accused of rape by a woman in a $50 million lawsuit. Shannon has denied the claims, calling the suit a shakedown. Flee agrees. And he shared some signs that he thinks prove a woman could be preparing to set a man up in a situation similar to Shannon’s.
“I been out here shaking and juggling these b****es since 20 years old. I know what you up to,” Cam says around the 15:45 mark on the pod below. “I know when a b***h trying to bait me in the text message to say some dumb sh*t. I ain’t writing back. ‘You right.’ I ain’t writing nothing back. You can’t get me to write a damn thing back when I see what’s going on.”
“You gotta read the signs,” Cam continues. “Like, ‘I don’t want to get choked.’ That ain’t something you usually say. You don’t usually talk to me like this. Why you talking to me like this now?”
He adds, “You know when you answer the phone and they be like, ‘Hello, hello, hello.’ They setting up…You gotta read all these signs, bro.”
On Sunday (April 20), a Nevada woman filed a $50 million lawsuit against Shannon Sharpe. The suit claims she was raped and threatened during her two-year relationship with the Hall of Fame tight end-turned sports personality. The accuser’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, has since released audio of Shannon threatening to choke the accuser. Oppositely, Shannon’s team has released messages showing the accuser stating she wants sexually explicit things done to her in a attempt to prove his innocence.
Shannon has implied that there is a sex tape that the accuser’s lawyer plans to release in part. He urged the release of the full clip for proper context.
“This is all being orchestrated by [attorney] Tony Buzbee who has targeted Jay-Z,” Shannon says in a video shared on social media denying the claims. “Tony Buzbee targets Black men, and I believe he’s going to release a 30-second clip of a sex tape that tries to make me look guilty and play into every stereotype you could possibly imagine. That video should actually be 10 minutes or so. Hey Tony, instead of releasing your edit, put the whole video out. I don’t have it or I would myself you know what happened and you’re trying to manipulate the media.”
The accuser’s attorney also says Shannon offered his client $10 million to keep quiet.
