Cardi B called into The Breakfast Club show on Jan. 17, where she shared her reaction to Takeoff’s death and why she almost filed for divorce from Offset during the show’s morning “Rumor Report.”

Cardi B called the Breakfast Club radio show to speak with Jason Lee during the “Rumor Report” segment. She shared the initial moments when she and Migos member Offset first learned the news of Takeoff’s passing shortly after their family’s Halloween plans were canceled. 

Cardi and Offset’s relationship was another point of discussion on the Power 105.1 show as his exploits, believed to be caused by a lewd text exchange he had with a Latin musician named Cuban Doll, led to their early split.

“Me and Offset, we were not seeing eye to eye. This was the same year that I filed for divorce and everything.” The “Bodak Yellow” rapper states. “The main thing that I wanted him to stop, he stopped. He changed and it showed me he wanted to change for me.” 

Cardi B’s full interview on The Jason Lee Show is set to premiere at 10:00 pm ET tonight on Revolt.

Bardi and Offset appear in a Valentine’s Day-themed commercial for McDonald’s for this year’s Super Bowl. This marks Offset’s first Super Bowl commercial, as Cardi appeared in a Super Bowl / Pepsi Ad in 2019.
