Cardi B is gearing up to take legal action against an internet troll who accused her rapper husband, Offset, of cheating. The accusation caused a stir on the internet and originated from a social media user allegedly associated with a Nicki Minaj fan page.

The social media user who alleged the former Migos member was cheating, uploaded a video claiming to show Offset engaged in sexual activity with another woman. In addition to the video, they shared a poorly AI-generated voice note, which was met with unfavorable reception.

Taking matters into her own hands, Cardi B launched an investigation to uncover the identity of the person behind the account. The Bronx native successfully identified the individual as a boy named Ashton, who happened to be a graphic designer.

In a voice note shared on the platform “X,” Cardi B confronted Ashton, stating:

“Hmm I wonder how Mr. Benny Nguyen Walker Jr. is going to feel when, I want to say like a month or less, when he receives a letter to his workplace and to his home because his son Ashton decided, which he’s a graphic designer, to put tattoos on someone else’s body claiming that it is my husband.”

Cardi B concluded the voice note by warning the social media user stating:

“So you guys are going to receive a letter from his lawyer. Because all these little games that you guys want to play online, it’s going to be over with… You’re going to be getting sued, and we’re going to make an example out of you. Yeah, and, that was a terrible AI voice, by the way, so yeah, bye.”

The “WAP” rapper’s decision to take legal action against the troll is not the first time she has been involved in a lawsuit. Cardi has been engaged in an ongoing legal battle with blogger Tasha K, whom the Bronx native accuses of spreading false information about her.

Cardi B claimed the allegations made by the gossip blogger have had a detrimental impact on her mental health and has since won the $4 million dollar lawsuit.

In the music industry, lawsuits are not uncommon. Recently, Tekashi 6ix9ine faced a lawsuit filed by his tattoo artist for defamation. The tattoo artist, Tekashi, alleges that 6ix9ine made false claims suggesting they were a heroin addict on a SHOWTIME documentary.
