Legendary rap group De La Soul is set to join rap legends Nas and Wu-Tang Clan for another leg of their N.Y. State Of Mind Tour. De La Soul will have two members touring due to the death of Trugoy the Dove.
Rap legends Nas and Wu-Tang Clan have added iconic rap group De La Soul to their N.Y. State Of Mind Tour.
On De La Soul’s Twitter account, they shared the news that they will be joining Nas and Wu-Tang Clan for another leg of their tour. The tour will now feature three New York hip-hop acts from the 1990s.
Nas, who is from Queens, released his latest album Kings Disease 3, 28 years after his debut album, Illmatic. Staten Island rap group Wu-Tang Clan just celebrated the 25th anniversary of their Wu-Tang Forever album in 2022 and is considered an iconic rap group like De La Soul, who originated in Long Island.
De La Soul is expected to start performing on Sept. 20 in Nashville and will have their last performance on Oct. 22 in Highland, Ca. The “Me, Myself and I” rap group will consist of members Posdnuos and Maseo, due to Trugoy the Dove’s death on Feb.12.
Legendary rap trio De La Soul recently celebrated their first six albums making a comeback, which became available on streaming services on March 2. The long wait was caused by label issues the group had for decades.
