Cassie testified yesterday that Diddy allegedly overdosed on opioids following a freak off and a party at the Playboy Mansion in 2012.
On Thursday (May 15), Puff’s former lover continued her testimony against him during Diddy’s sex crimes trial, where he is accused of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. During the hearing, she was asked about the music mogul’s drug addiction, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Under cross-examination, Cassie admitted they both used drugs heavily during their time together, including Ketamine, GHB and mushrooms, with Cassie saying she mostly did so to numb the physical and emotional pain of having to endure the frequent sex parties.
Cassie said Diddy once overdosed following a party at the Playboy Mansion. “That evening we had a freak-off. We went to a sex club in San Bernardino. And then he had a party at the Playboy Mansion that night, and I went home,” she told the jury about the incident. “From what [Combs] told me, he took a really strong opioid that night, but we didn’t know what happened. So, we took him to the hospital.”
The former R&B singer later said they nicknamed each other the “Get High Partners” and Diddy would become irate if she did drugs without him.
This line of questioning seems to be part of Puff’s defense team’s tactic to question the Bad Boy founder’s mental capacity and liability of guilt.
Cassie has been testifying since Tuesday (May 13) about her relationship with the embattled music mogul, and how he forced her to participate in sex marathons known as freak offs with male escorts through violence and blackmail. Cassie’s testimony is expected to end today (May 16).
The trial continues today with testimony from former Danity Kane and Diddy – Dirty Money singer Dawn Richard. Richard sued Puff last September for a range of allegations, including sexual assault, sexual harassment, gender discrimination, hostile work environment, forced labor, human trafficking, sex trafficking under 18, battery/sexual battery, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress and more.
Diddy has pleaded not guilty. It is unclear if he plans to take the stand during the trial, which is expected to last eight to 10 weeks.
