Global Gaming League Lands in Inglewood as Howie Mandel, Gillie & Wallo Kick Off West Coast Era at WePlay Arena

This week, competitive gaming is getting a new West Coast home. WePlay Studios has partnered with the Global Gaming League, planting the fast-rising esports platform squarely in Inglewood, Calif., at WePlay’s arena. The move positions GGL at the heart of the entertainment industry, where gaming already collides with music, fashion and celebrity culture on a daily basis. The partnership officially kicks off Feb. 25, when comedy heavyweight Howie Mandel’s “Howie Do It” gaming squad faces Gillie & Wallo267’s “Million Dollaz” team in the first GGL showdown inside the Inglewood venue. The matchup will stream March 9 on GGL’s YouTube channel, with the winner advancing to meet NE-YO’s GNTLMNS team in the SZN Zero championship in April. Clinton Sparks, GGL’s founder and CEO, said the league was created to push gaming into the mainstream as a live, social experience — not just something you watch quietly at home. Linking with WePlay, he added, places GGL in a market that understands spectacle and scale.
