The Grammy award-winning artist was performing in Atlanta when she stopped the concert to help a fan out who seemed to be struggling.

She asked the fan if she needed an inhaler, had security personnel assist the fan, and asked the rest of the crowd to give the fan some time.

The crowd erupted in applause when the 20-year-old said “We’re taking care of our people, hold on. I wait for people to be OK until I keep going.”

The clip of her has gone viral and has many thinking it’s a subtle shade at Travis Scott and his Astroworld tragedy.

In November 2021, Travis Scott’s annual Astroworld Festival ended in tragedy when eight people were confirmed dead with hundreds more injured at the sold-out event at NRG Park in Houston.  Since then, the embattled rapper has been working on efforts to better concert safety and emergency responses

Meanwhile, Travis has joined forces with The United States Conference of Mayors, an entity that represents the interests of more than 1,400 cities across the country.  Together, they plan to assemble a commission encompassing leaders from government, public safety, emergency response, health care, event management, music, and technology to help prevent further concert-related tragedies.

The Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, assembled the Texas Task Force on Concert Safety for their fifth meeting, and third in-person meeting, in San Antonio in January. Hosted by the Alamodome, the meeting brought together public safety and industry experts, as well as expert contributors and local authorities, to continue the ongoing discussion of best practices for concert safety. The task force held their last meeting at the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) in Bryan on December 15 and their first in-person meeting in Arlington on December 10.
