I’ve been waiting for this!

Ever since ICECOLDBISHOP made his DopeHouse debut in 2020, the South Central-bred rapper has done nothing but show and prove. Every time he jumped on a track (with Boldy James + Alchemist, REASON, Jahmed, Kembe X, Ab-Soul, and others) or hit the stage, he stepped up and stole the show. Now, it’s finally album time.

Years in the making, ICECOLDBISHOP invites listeners into his world with the release of his debut album, Generational Curse.

“The album is essentially stories from a cursed generation,” Bishop says. “Nobody has ever figured out how to stop the bullsh*t from happening from one generation to the next. It’s ongoing. We see the effects of this generational curse with drugs and gangs. I’m trying to give you the cause and not just the effect though. This is why our generation is cursed, because it was f*cked up from a long time ago.”

“I just want people to understand the message,” he continues. “I’m not trying to preach to anyone. I’m giving it to you in such a raw way where every situation is detailed. You’re in the front seat of what’s going on. You’ll have questions at the end, and that’s a good thing.”

Led by the singles “The Gov’t Gave Us Guns” and “D.A.R.E.” (video above), ICB takes on the rigged system with his enigmatic flow and unflinching, unfiltered storytelling. The good, the bad, the ugly – it’s all there. Press play and be sure to add Generational Curse wherever you get music.
