Back in 2020 (literally, right before the world officially ended) Jay Rock revealed that the follow-up to his Grammy-winning third album Redemption was roughly “80% done.”

Then, the world ended.

Now, following a string of standout guest appearances, Johnny returns with his first offering of 2023 “Eastside.” Alongside fellow TDE signee Kal Banx, the single could serve as the first salvo from Jay Rock’s forthcoming fourth album. And, hopefully, there won’t be yet another world-ending shenanigan to possibly delay it… hopefully.
