Her first release of 2024, following the track “Roll Wit Me,” Jean Deaux returns with “Dreamin.”

“’Dreamin’ feels like a coming-of-age song for me. Just getting older, I’ve been reflecting on all the things that I used to dream about when I was younger. What’s changed and what stayed the same,” Deaux says. “I’m speaking generally but I also touch on some of the patterns I’ve seen repeat since I was younger, like feeling a desire for love and intimacy but also feeling like I was scared to branch out and say that I needed people. Now I’m in this place where I’m letting that go. And I find myself wondering if past connections are holding onto the old me.”

Jean plans to release the follow-up to her 2023 EP HEAVY in the near future.
