Kanye West made a blockbuster announcement today – that he is bypassing the streaming giant stronghold and exclusively releasing “DONDA 2” on his wholly-owned Stem Player. Since the announcement, the music giant has made almost 2 million in less than 24 hours on pre-sales.

Kanye posted the receipts to his socials, revealing that he has been earning an average of $92,000 an hour in pre-sales alone since he announced the product drop this morning. The rapper is selling at a rapid clip of an average of 330 digital music players per hour.
The players will arrive 2-3 days from the day of purchase so people will have them earlier than promised on his 2/22/22 release date.
Kanye’s power move has already made him the king of 2/22/22, shutting down all competition for that date. Lil Durk and Rae Sremmurd (soon?) will compete on the streaming charts, while Kanye will stand alone in his own new world.
Durk’s 7220 and Kanye’s DONDA 2 – along with a Rae Sremmurd release, are all scheduled to drop on 2/22/22. Durk decided to leverage one of the recent memes created about Kanye to push his own 7220 release. Today, Sremmurd used the same technique but fans barely noticed as Kanye continues to dominate the news cycle in his album rollout.
