Palmer disclosed that she had spent years repressing her sexuality, keeping it hidden from her family. However, as she reached a turning point in her life, the actress decided to explore and accept her feelings, acknowledging that this was a crucial step towards finding love and happiness.
In the interview, Palmer revealed “I experienced a time in my life when I questioned whether I could truly be authentic and just be myself. It was a moment of overthinking things,” Palmer shared with co-hosts Raven-Symoné and the wife of the “That’s So Raven” star, Miranda Maday.
“I realized that this overthinking wasn’t even a reflection of who I am. Why was I putting myself through this unnecessary worry? Eventually, I reached a point where I wanted to live life on my own terms.”
At 17, the multi-hyphenate talent made a significant breakthrough, accepting and embracing her true self.
She says she found unwavering support from her family. Her parents, in particular, were accepting and never made her sexuality an issue of discussion.

Following the buzz, the actress clarified that she didn’t want to be confined to one label, choosing to define her own rules and live authentically.
