The “Lollipop” rapper’s Twitter (X) post featured a red-filtered picture of the rapper wearing sunglasses and looking down, adding to the anticipation surrounding his upcoming release.

As news of the mixtape spread, fans flocked to the comments section to express their excitement.

One user exclaimed, “That 🐐 dropping,” while another confidently declared, “I know this is going to be lit.” The excitement was palpable, with many eagerly anticipating the release of Lil Wayne’s new music.

Interestingly, one user in the comments section reminisced about the bygone era of mixtapes, stating, “This is why we miss datpiff😭😭😭” about the popular mixtape platform in the mid-2000s. However, DatPiff underwent a revision in April 2023 due to its declining popularity compared to streaming platforms like Apple Music and Spotify.

Lil Wayne’s mixtapes have played a significant role in his career, with notable releases such as The Drought, Sorry For The Wait, and No Ceilings. These projects have garnered a dedicated fan base eager to hear what the rap legend has in store for Tha Carter VI.

Earlier this month, the rap legend received the BMI Icon Award at the BMI R&B Hip-Hop Awards, recognizing his illustrious rap career spanning over 25 years. The award served as a testament to his significant contributions to the genre.

In addition to his upcoming music releases, Lil Wayne recently performed at the 2023 MTV VMA Awards, showcasing his new single “Kat Food.” The energetic performance captivated audiences and further heightened anticipation for his upcoming releases.

Another rapper set to release new music is Lil Wayne’s frequent collaborator, Nicki Minaj. Known as a rap superstar, she is expected to drop her highly anticipated album Pink Friday 2 on Nov. 17, creating even more excitement within the hip-hop community.
