Meek Mill normally makes headlines for expressing his unfiltered thoughts on social media but he is now making headlines for a different reason. The Philly rapper’s Twitter and Instagram accounts are gone after some eyebrow-raising posts.

Meek Mill

It looks like Meek Mill is taking a brief hiatus from his timeline content. Mill is always sharing his thoughts on Twitter — from dating to needing an attorney to help understand his record deal — but this time, he shared something new.

He took it to Twitter and said “About to take a break from social media … I see too much crazy shit.”
He also expressed sympathy for the younger generation and how confusing the multitude of content could be. This comes after Young Thug admitted that the internet often dampens his mood and Jay-Z deleting his Instagram no more than a day after creating his account.

Meek Mill has been under intense pressure over several weeks, as evidenced by his social media behavior.  Just over a week ago, Meek Mill took to Twitter to air out his payment issues with his label, Maybach Music, an imprint of Atlantic Records.

I haven’t get paid from music and i don’t know how much money labels make off me!!!!! I need lawyers asap!!!” he wrote in a since-deleted tweet.

He even threatened to publicize his contract.

The outburst followed the release of his 6th studio album, Expensive Pain, that finished third in its debut week after amassing 95,000 equivalent album units, 10,000 of which consisted of album sales, while 82,000 were made up of SEA units, equaling 110.53 million on-demand streams of the project’s songs according to Billboard.  Conversely, Meek’s previous release, Championships, debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart with 229,000 album-equivalent units, of which 42,000 came from pure album sales in its first week, becoming his second number-one album.
