In a disturbing incident captured on video, a 14-year-old boy, whose name remains undisclosed, witnessed a man named Jeremy Brown repeatedly assaulting his mother, Carlishia Hood, inside a restaurant. Brown’s threats escalated to physical violence as he mercilessly punched Hood in the head, leaving her vulnerable. 

Without hesitation, Hood’s son intervened to protect his mother from further harm. He admitted a firearm and shot Brown, causing him to flee the premises. Charlishia Hood encouraged her son to finish the job; he followed Brown outside and shot him to death.

Initially, both the mother and son faced first-degree murder charges.
