Twitter is holding a competition for best “sneak” rap disses in history. Last Thursday (March 16), Twitter user ‘Nerd Nash’ asked followers about their favorite “sneak diss lines in hip hop history,” being met with Kendrick Lamar‘s 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards freestyle going at Drake; Nicki Minaj going at B.O.B. on their 2012 collaboration “Out of My Mind;” Drake‘s aim at Tyga on 2015 track “6 PM In New York” and more as responses.
“Nothing been the same since they dropped control and tucked a sensitive rapper back in his pajama clothes”

Drake was a repeat offender in the thread, including his beefs with Common and former foe Tory Lanez. In 2012, the Her Loss rapper targeted Common on Rick Ross track “Stay Schemin’,” which also featured French Montana, devoting his entire verse to the Chicago rhymesayer with lines like “Don’t be duckin’ like you never wanted nothin’/ It’s feelin’ like rap changed, it was a time it was rugged.” Common, who admittedly shaded Drake on 2011 song “Sweet,” would respond with a “Stay Schemin’” remix, calling out Drake by name and referring to him as “Canada Dry.” Around the same time, the rappers were both romantically linked to tennis icon Serena Williams.

Another addition to the thread was Lil Kim’s “Big Momma Thang (Remix),” an unreleased track from her 1996 album Hardcore. The Brooklyn rapper referenced Faith Evans, teasing her extramarital affair with The Notorious B.I.G., also dissing 2Pac, concluding with lines that seemingly pointed at him being shot in 1994 at Quad Studios. The song was scrapped from Hard Core altogether, as 2Pac was killed two months before the album’s release.
Lil Kim went nuclear on this, to the point Big had to tell her to delete the whole verse lol shit was cold blooded pic.twitter.com/5MjTavW8UC

Jay Z “Dig A Hole” was a response to Cam’ron dissing him. He told Cam the only time he went platinum was while signed to his label Roc A Fella. Warning Cam that he better pray the beef doesn’t spill into the streets. Cam dissing Jay Z caused him and Dipset’s career to slow down pic.twitter.com/UohTK6FQBr
