Love & Hip Hop star Ray J has broken his silence about the infamous sex tape he and former lover Kim Kardashian recorded over a decade ago. After what he says was a false narrative being spread, Ray is finally speaking on the sex tape to clear his name.

The entrepreneur sat down with Daily Mail, giving an exclusive interview about what fans have been wanting to know for years.
According to Ray J, it was after an episode of “The Kardashians,” that the reality star went into panic mode after she got word that there was a second sex tape in Ray’s possession that could possibly be leaked. Kim sent her estranged husband, Kanye West to retrieve the tape.
Ray J explained that the entire sex tape scandal was a false narrative created by the Kardashian clan.“I’ve never leaked anything. I have never leaked a sex tape in my life,” Ray J shared. “It has never been a leak. It’s always been a deal and a partnership between Kris Jenner and Kim and me.”
Setting the record straight, the “One Wish” singer expressed how tired he was of the false narrative behind the sex tape. He lamented how he had held the secret for 14 years while his name was exploited for their gain.
“I’ve sat in the shadows for over 14 years allowing the Kardashians to use my name, to abuse my name, make billions of dollars over a decade-and-a-half talking about a topic I’ve never really spoken about,” he said.
Pointing the finger directly at Kim, he said he did not have any possession of the tapes from the onset.
“She kept them all – she had to go find that tape and then present it,” he said. “I never had a tape in my possession in our whole relationship.She always had all the tapes in a Nike shoe box under her bed.”
The singer went on to say how he regrets orchestrating the idea of releasing the tape. He says he was painted as the villain in the story, which jeopardized his career and relationships and left him feeling suicidal at one stage.
“I felt suicidal because when you know something’s real and it’s true and you’re watching a whole family create an empire from a lie they’ve created, it’s heartbreaking and disrespectful to all the entertainers who have been honest and true to their craft.”
The “Sexy Can I” artist went on to add the struggles he faced as his character was defamed, but was too afraid to speak on the false allegations against him, forcing him to live a lie.
“For me, I’ve been walking on eggshells thinking I’m going to get in trouble for telling the truth and I’ve been holding onto it for the past 14 years. How do you believe that Ray J is the enemy of all enemies when we’ve been partners from the beginning of the sex tape being released up until now?”
As the interview went on, the “Love & Hip Hop” superstar exposed text messages between Kim Kardashian and himself, in hopes that having his truth out in the open will allow him to finally be free of the stigma behind the sex tape scandal.
Kanye blasted Kim Kardasian on social media in the midst of their public split back in March. He stated that he did not have custody of his children and that Kim was behaving like a “bitter baby mama,” which was taking a toll on his mental health.
He said, “My dad won’t even call Kim I don’t speak to most of my family because they been allowing this kind of behavior. I am in no way trying to get this woman back – I’ve moved on with my life. I just feel culturally there’s a bunch of white privileged people forcing the upbringing of a bunch of black children. I seen a bunch of celebrities speak up against me. But ain’t been no one other than Candace Owens that ever said that any of this bitter baby mama behavior is wrong.”
