Rolling Loud, one of the biggest hip-hop music festivals in the world, has taken to their official Twitter account to share a $100K invoice they sent to the organizers of the Wireless Festival. According to the well-known organization, the Wireless Festival, where Lil Durk, Playboi Carti, and Travis Scott are expected to headline—used footage from Rolling Loud’s previous festival without permission.

The used footage includes clips of performances from artists like Ken Carson, Lil Durk, and Playboi Carti.

The invoice post, captioned, “You’re Welcome,”  has since caused a stir on Twitter with fans chiming in and taking sides. Some have criticized Rolling Loud, calling them “mid,” while others have praised them for standing up for their rights.

One fan commented, saying “Y’all know Wireless is better.” Another Wireless fan tweeted, “still going to wirless while having the option to got to Germany / Portugal / Rotterdam or wireless london other then the cali lineup most of them are mid af tbh.”

Meanwhile, Rolling Loud stans swarmed the comments, saying the organization should have charged more than $100K.

As festivals and other concert venues tighten up on safety, it’s possible the importance of intellectual property rights may also be a highlight.

Regardless of the recent dispute, this year’s festival was everything a hip-hop fan can ask for with a banging celebrity line-up that surprised the audience even more than they could have anticipated. SOHH, here are the best surprises at Rolling Loud California 2023.
