It’s been three long years since Saba released an album (2018’s incredible Care For Me), but the gifted Chicago artist is back in action with the release of his third album, Few Good Things.

“For so long, I’ve waited for people to understand our place in this industry, our art, and what we represent,” Saba said in a lengthy pre-release statement. “I’ve realized now after being ‘here’ for almost 10 years that I should have just defined this shit for you. It’s not that I feel completely misrepresented, it’s that I want to create space for myself and this experience to be represented wholly.”

“I get it. I understand how it’s easy to only get grief and loss and suffering out of my music, but let’s acknowledge the full spectrum of black emotion when dealing with this album,” he continued. “We grieve. And we also celebrate. And we fuck. And we get money. And we been broke. And we get happy. And we get high. And we are more than one thing at all the same time.”

Led by a three song stretch of “Fearmonger,” “Come My Way” with Krayzie Bone, and “Survivor’s Guilt” with G Herbo, the album checks in at 14 tracks with additional contributions from 6lack, Smino, Black Thought, Mereba, Fousheé, Eryn Allen Kane, the Pivot Gang, and a few others.

Press play below and be sure to add Few Good Things wherever you get music.
